Joan Bergstrom, MD, MBA, is the founder of Women’s Health Services. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Bergstrom was the first female OB/GYN to serve the Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas, communities. Dr. Bergstrom delivers excellent care for women at all stages of life with compassion, warmth, and respect.

Patients trust Dr. Bergstrom for the treatment of a range of conditions, including uterine fibroids and polyps, urinary incontinence, abnormal bleeding, vaginal and uterine prolapse, and more. An expert gynecologic surgeon, she is skilled at a wide range of surgical procedures to treat uterine fibroids and various pelvic prolapse conditions.

In addition to her clinical career, Dr. Bergstrom earned a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. In 2012, she became the first woman to serve as chief of staff at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital.  Throughout he career, she has held numerous medical staff leadership positions focused on physician credentialing, patient safety, and quality of care. 

As the founder of WHS, Dr. B continues to provide gynecologic care to patients while providing clinical and surgical experience with the younger physicians in the practice.
